ECN55: Dolphins into the Future “The Snake, the Frog and the Argument” audio tape (October 2026)&#38;nbsp;
Dolphins into the Future presents 3 compositions recorded between 2017 and 2026, brought together by an interest in fragmented narratives. The Habu moves through the troubled histories and spectral landscapes of the Ryukyu Islands; The Frog leaps; and A Transcript revisits an overheard argument in a harbour café, unfolding across three different perspectives.

ECN54: Koeosaeme “Makuhari” audio tape (October 2026)&#38;nbsp;
Tokyo-based artist Ryu Yoshizawa (Koeosaeme), who previously worked with Ryuichi Sakamoto and Yukihiro Takahashi, explores Kaihin-Makuhari, a futuristic coastal district built on reclaimed land outside Tokyo. Following releases on Orange Milk Records, Makuhari combines field recordings, synthesizers and custom-built audio systems into a surreal impression of a planned city, drifting between its imagined future and former oceanic past.&#38;nbsp;

Lieven Martens is a composer and producer working across field recording, ambient composition and musique concrète. He has released music on record labels in Japan, the USA, Belgium, Finland and elsewhere, and has performed extensively around the world. He curates Edições CN, an imprint dedicated to adventurous international sound and composition practices.
Extending his artistic practice into social research, Martens explores the social and political dimensions of sound and listening, with particular attention to underrecognized forms of listening and the potential of sound and listening as sources of social knowledge. His research brings together sound studies, urban studies, participatory methods and social work.
Beyond his artistic and research practice, Martens is a communications officer for a Belgian NGO active in Eastern Congo.

Lieven Martens is well known for his work as Dolphins into the Future in which he was a leading figure in the noise boom of the early 2000s and was associated with Exotica using early synth and electronic music and new age influences. Martens is a prominent figure in the international post-noise network. Lieven Martens is a composer and producer&#38;nbsp;working across field recording, ambient composition and musique concrète. He has released music on record labels in Japan, the USA, Belgium, Finland and elsewhere, and has performed extensively around the world. He curates Edições CN, an imprint dedicated to adventurous international sound and composition practices.

Extending his artistic practice into social research, Martens explores the social and political dimensions of sound and listening, with particular attention to underrecognized forms of listening and the potential of sound and listening as sources of social knowledge. His research brings together sound studies, urban studies, participatory methods and social work.

Beyond his artistic and research practice, Martens is a communications officer&#38;nbsp;for a Belgian NGO active in Eastern Congo.
